Progress Pride Flag
Embrace the forward movement of the LGBTQIA+ community with our Progress Pride Flag. This flag reimagines traditional pride symbols to include a broader spectrum of identities, highlighting the importance of inclusivity, equality, and continuous progress. Made from high-quality materials, it's a dynamic symbol of the community's evolution, representing a commitment to recognizing and advocating for all its members, especially those marginalized within the community, such as people of color, trans individuals, and those living with HIV/AIDS.
Meaning of the Colors
The Progress Pride Flag incorporates the traditional rainbow pride colors with additional elements: a chevron design that includes black and brown stripes to represent marginalized LGBTQIA+ communities of color, along with pink, light blue, and white, which are drawn from the Transgender Pride Flag.
These additions aim to stand for diversity and intersectionality within the LGBTQIA+ community, acknowledging the many layers of individual identity and the importance of support and unity.
Origin and History
Designed by Daniel Quasar in 2018, the Progress Pride Flag is a response to the need for more representation within the pride flag.
By integrating elements that signify inclusion and acknowledgment of marginalized groups, the flag serves as a reminder of the ongoing struggle for rights, acceptance, and equality.
It emphasizes the LGBTQIA+ movement's goals of progress and visibility for everyone, underlining the importance of fighting against discrimination and celebrating all forms of love and identity.
